cops in toronto?

ok are there like 5 cops in the city or what? why is it that there are so many shootings and gang activity, like honestly how hard is it to sit in a car across the street from a location and do surveillance?? how hard is it to gather intelligence about gang activity? how hard is it to figure out who's doing what and bust them? with all the resources at their disposal why is there a new story every day? and being traumatized by a set of grizzly murders? wait, isnt that your job? arent you specially trained to deal with that kind of shit? maybe the cops should watch more law and order and get some tips because they dont seem to be doing a very good job!

I only know one side of the story, but a family member on the force regularly has some serious things to say about understaffed some nights are... it increases the danger to the officers when there's only like two cars out in a given division. I suspect that they don't have time to be doing stake-outs and all the shit you see in TV cop dramas. The ultimate answer has gotta be funding... all pure speculation however, which is just about as meaningful as this discussion can get I think ;)

If you can find so many problems, why dont you go through training and help with the problem.
BTW - there is a lot more shit going on then you actually hear about.

Even though the media is focusing on the shootings, doesn't mean the cops only have to focus on that also. Cops gotta do alot of other work. What it is i can't say don't know. But there job isn't soley to bust gangs and shootings. If all the traffic lights went out in toronto... guess who has to guide traffic... being that.. the chance for a gun shooting increases... but if all the cops focus on the gun shootings while all the traffic lights went out, the chances of there being a 10 car pile up increases. head aches both ways.. happy im not a cop.

I read somewhere on here also.. that a police officer had to drive a fellow triber to the destiny party. Thats one more cop occupied heh.

I agree more could be done, but one of the biggest issues they deal with in gang violence are the laws themselves. Unless the cops actually witness the crime, it is difficult to get info from others (witnesses or other gang members) and if they arrest on lesser charges, they are out on the streets the next day anyway.
Another problem with gang related crime, is that it is very hard to predict. It is not like international war where they discuss the issues and when they can't come to a resolution, then they go to war. It is more random relating to who they hate more at the time and violence is often their first plan.

I was JUST about to start a thread on this. Aren't doctors trained for this shit? Why the hell do people die all the time? are there only like 5 doctors in toronto? Why do I always wait for one? like honestly, how hard is it to cut open someone's chest and operate on them? with all those knives and scissors and stuff, don't they know what they're doing? what about the nurses? where are they when you need them? you would think they could watch ER and save more lives.

Personally I think that more city councillors should watch Spin City. Not because they do a particularly good job of dealing with municipal issues, but because that Charlie Sheen is such a card.

They should watch this too because it deals with corruption and violence, lots of violence.

Has it occured to anyone that there might be a connection between the recently stolen collections of guns?

How do all of these mongos find these weapons? Perhaps its because they've been tipped off on where to find these weapon caches? Could it be the gun shop owners? Could it be bureaucrats responsible for gun registration?

It's all too convenient that these Morons with gun collections keep getting robbed of their precious little machinations of death.
