It kind of gets at the sad underbelly of the modalities and narrative pushed by Deepak CHopra - because it can sometimes feel liberating to feel you can really will your way out of something, and maybe just believing that you can sometimes can really make a difference in recovery!
But the other side of it is much darker - it is where one may feel a huge pile of guilt, that they brought on their own illness because they were too weak, spoke too negatively to themselves, didn't eat the perfect diet...Parents who think they brought on their child's autism cause they gave them a vaccine or fed them milk when they were growing up - there's a lot of misery out there, to go along with the goodness inherent in the idea that your mind can heal your body and the other types of ideas flying around at conferences where Deepak speaks to sold out audiences...
