Windows ME (millenium edition)
ICQ 2001

If you have winzip,

go into program files, right click on the ICQ folder and selsect ADD TO ICQ.ZIP

this will zip your whole folder and backup all essential history n stuff.

Copy the ICQ.zip to somewhere safe and uninstall ICQ, then reboot, and reinstall latest version. By default your history should and contact list should still be in the old folder and the new install should auto-detect it.

Besides you backed it up.

Windows ME is ass, so all i say is no wonder.

Thankyou, I'll try that right now! By the way, the error that pops up says "icq has caused an error MSVCRT.DLL" what does that mean?

ICQ has had bad coding ever since AOL bought them out,
the program itself is unstable and succeptable to self corruption.

That fact coupled with Microsoft's worst current operating system (WinME) makes for a bad combination.

Good luck
