Companionship in the Squirrel Kingdom

So... it appears that sometime in the night a squirrel fell out of a tree and landed on the sidewalk in my back yard. Not the most pleasant thing to see first thing in the morning.

As I went to remove the carcass I heard this loud screaming from the tree above. I looked up and saw a lone squirrel watching me. Everytime I got near the body it would start screaming. So I left it alone until it's apparent mate was finished mourning and went away.

Sad and interesting.

Just thought I'd share that.

There was an awful lot of frost last night... perhaps he jumped to another limb and slipped.

i saw one fall off my roof on a rainy day onto my friend's head. squirrel was fine and ran away really fast.
it was awesome.

i had a hair dressing co-worker who, when went out to put the garbage out a seagull shit on her head.

She was upset, but at least she worked in a hair salon and got it washed out immediately.

too sad. On a brighter note my cat has been chasing 3 squirrels around the backyard for the last few hours. They're getting pretty brave around him since they've discovered he's a real girl of a cat.

ive seen squirrels sit in trees and throw stuff at cat's heads. they are deadly accurate too. it's so cute.
