2003 IN REVIEW
Best Series
Tie between
- ALIAS (brian michael bendis)
- SUPREME POWER (j. michael straczinski)
Honourable Mentions
THE ULTIMATES (mark millar)
ULIMATE SPIDER-MAN (brian michael bendis)
ULTIMATE X-MEN (mark millar)
THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (j. michael straczinski),
THE PUNISHER (garth ennis)
DAREDEVIL (brian michael bendis)
THE INCREDIBLE HULK (bruce jones)
Best One Shot or Limited Series
JLA: Liberty and Justice
Most Pathetic Decline
Grant Morrison's work on 'NEW X-MEN'
Chris Claremont's work on 'X-TREME X-MEN'
(seriously, it's sad but i think these guys - who once dominated this industry - are washed up.)
not too sure how neil gaiman's '1602' fits in yet; the jury's still out.
DC stuff has been pretty boring and none of the independents are raising eyebrows.
most of the best writers seem to be flocking to marvel and marvel max these days.
thoughts?
