Comfort Zone NYE

Man, I had to work on Wednsday so I had to be a pretty good boy this NYE. After a bunch of house parties I made my way to the Zone for 9am only to find an hour long lineup. So I went home and got some sleep. @ 12 some friends called me up and told me that the place was going off and that I had to get up there.

WOW! It was packed, people were dancing their asses off. Lots of smiles, and happy new years greetings. Nathan Barato had the place jumpin with some dirty, funky house. Timmy P jumped in there next and was dropping some sweet tunes for the next 2 hrs and I spent a lot of time talking to people and dancing.

Left after Tims set and headed out to a friends house to chill out and get something to eat. Got back to the Zone(in/out priviliges is king) @ 4:30 so I could catch Mykas set at 5. Dirty, wikked set and the next thing I know it's 8pm and I have to leave cause I'm lame. There was 11 hours to go and when I left there was a pretty large group of people heading in.

Saw some familiar faces in there: Pinkangel, Smiley Jo, Finch and Poker Face.

Anyone catch Nivoc, Mateo Murphy, Kenny Glasgow, Mark Scaife, or Luke Fair? Bastards all came on after I had left.

I had a good time chillin with some old party friends from Buffalo.

I was kinda pissed at the fact that they were charging $25 at the door when back in the day it would have been $15 with a whole bunch of headliners.

Eric Davenport pulled a no-show and Nivoc didnt play when he was suppost to. The locals downstairs ripped it up nice all day. Holy shit was it loud down there though I though my ears were going to bleed.

Upstairs the dj's were lacking pretty bad which could send someone on a bad trip ;p

Other wise it was alright being in the armpit of Toronto once again!

I HAD THE BEST TIME!!
It was like a reunion.
All my old people that I used to hang out with there showed and it was so great to see them all again.
PLUS all my best friends were there and some pleasant surprises so overall it was an amazing time.

Wow what a party! My Newyears Eve kind of sucked so I had to make it down to comfort Zone New Years Day! Got there around 5pm which was perfect cause the people that have been there all day were starting to leave and a fresh new crowd was coming in. The music was amazing and everyone was going crazy, the only problem was cover. $25.00 for comfort zone seems very pricy to me.
If its going to cost that much I expect the sofas and chairs to be clean and the washrooms too.

^^^You must be new.
You should never expect better anything from this place.
I kinda wish I had made it out anyway-it's my first NON-czone NY daytime event-but I did come home pretty clean for once......

Trust me Sarah you were missed.
The family is doing great.
None of us goes there anymore but were all lured there for the special occassion.
That is what made it so great.
