I am really liking the Yves Rocher line they have out right now. I bought something for myself and something for my boyfriend and we both love it.

Ming Shu - women
Homme Nature - men

I'm in serious need of something new, but I think I'll wait until I see my girlfriend in a month and go shopping with her. I don't know if I'd trust myself shopping for cologne.

Until, I'll just rely on my good friends the pheromones to get me through. :)

There's a new Tommy? Well, I really like the "old" one, curious to see what this one is like.

Cologne is so important, you have NO idea.

Is there such a thing as 'casual' cologne? Like, I instinctively spray something on after a shower, but say I am just going over to the gf's house to watch Amazing Race or something. Is it inappropriate to wear Chanel or is that too 'dressy', even if it's my 'going out' scent?

Are those occassions what those trashy bodysprays are for?

I guess you and me are the only ones.

Very suprising IMO.

After the scent of my soap, shampoo, deoderant, lundered clothes, the last thing I want to do is throw even one more scent on me.

Personally I detest the smell of cologne, even perfume in most cases.

People need to learn that in most cases, less is more.

That all depends.

Do you want to get laid, or not.

p.s. Axe sucks.

Conor's right though. There comes a point where if you're just hanging out, you don't want to smell overwhelming.

The answer there is just to go easy on the application.

I agree...but should I perhaps appropriate a more casual scent (like one of the 'Sport' colognes) for more casual settings?

I feel like a tool wearing Chanel when I'm not wearing a tie, for some reason. Stupid marketing.

edit: missed your edit...

I have a winter perfume and a summer one, which could easily be used as day perfume versus evening one.

I find that winter/evening colognes are generally much heavier versus lighter summer/day smelling ones.
It's all personal taste though.

If it smells good on you, you can wear it anywhere (low doses always) regardless of if it's chanel or no-name.

An ex o' mine used to wear some body shop cologne (black glass bottle) and it was tres yummy. Even if we were just hanging out @ home or going out for an evening on the town, it didn't 'stand-out'.

It always bewilders me when I've heard people say, "my body gets used to the cologne/perfume so I have to add more". Morons. LOL

See, that's what I'm looking for...an "all-purpose scent". Does Dolce & Gabbana make a lower-end sporty one? I'm brown so anything D&G tends to smell good on me :)

I wore Tommy for ages(i love it), and the new Tommy is similar, but just a little bit spicier.

Haha! My ex wore Swiss Army... I remember when I was DVD shopping one day and a guy standing next to me was wearing it...I had to leave and call my boyfriend. :p I find it very masculine and its easy for me to distinguish when someone is wearing it.

I also like Gucci Rush. You should get a cologne that you like and would feel comfortable wearing...
