Aight .. seeing as how it's 7pm on Sunday afternoon and no one's taken the initiative to write up a review I'll do my best (even tho' I'm not the best 'reviewer')..
I got to the party @ 11pm -- saw Lush and Natural start off my night with a wicked set! Pure chunes! Couldn't help but shake my booty the whole time =)
Ruckus played the best set I've ever heard him spin! He dropped the Catchin' Wreck's 'Bonanza' tune that I haven't heard in a while...I love that tune! I was dancing at pretty much the same momentum throughout Lush and Ruckus' set.
Then Nicky Blackmarket came on. It was ok. Nothing special! I kinda felt like I was moving just out of habit rather than with enthusiasm. I totally respect Nicky Blackmarket, but this just wasn't an exciting set. I left at 3am while Nicky was still spinning..
PDS was up next -- I'm curious to have seen him spin! Did anyone catch his set? Big ups Sean!
Other than that, as a positive comment on the aside, I really love the Palais Royale venue! It's so nice to have the inside/outside option. When it gets too loud and smoky inside, you can always take a break to go outside. Something about this option is more humane than shoving everyone into a room and being stuck there. I'd like to see this venue used for more events in the future. Even though it is out of the way if you don't have a car, it's worth the drive to Acton!
