I had a great time last night! The music was up and down but the space is incredible! I hope they start stocking more booze though, the bunny bar ran out of ALL beer and smirnoff ice by 1.

hit this joint up last night. freakin' in-fucking-sane. love the fact that there's so many places to lounge out. I kept finding more places to kick it.
Word to the wise about bar service - If you find it takes longer than you'd like just keep going up into the place b/c there's more of them everywhere.
Memo to self: CiRCA would be killer on LSD with teeeeeechnooooooooooo thumpin' over the system.

Victor Calderone + Doman and Pettigrew in the Main Room
Mark Farina + Mischief and Frankie in the Ballroom (which is a sweet room)
Tickets are 25 in advance

Circa really delivered last night - great space, great vibe, and the staff were as friendly as could be (though one bouncer upstairs apparently didn't know about the existance of the smoking patio, saying instead that if we wanted to smoke we "could come back in a few weeks when they get a permit". Otherwise, the system is kicking (earplugs are a must if you're going to be anywhere on the main floor), and the different rooms are like a huge playground with lots to see and do. There's also tons of seating and tables around if you just want to chill out - a nice change from some clubs where the only places to sit are the bottle service booths.
The art is just perfect, not watered-down or overly commercialized. If I saw those pieces elsewhere I think I'd be equally impressed. It's also nice that there isn't advertising in every spare space of the club. It's there, but it seems nice and subtle without HEINEKEN in your face at every turn.
Personally, I found the flow of the club to be night and day from Guvernment. Maybe the club just wasn't as packed last night but at no point did I experience the feeling of being trapped in a room that I have at the last few Guv events I've attended.
Also, I support any club that has part of its staff dress up as french fries, milkshakes, ice cream cones, and giant smiley faces and has them mingle with the crowd all night as well has having a huge parade down the escalator at midnight. I can't think of a better way to start off my birthday <3.
For the ten whole bucks I spent on this party (!) I feel like I got my money's worth and more. This place was MADE for AD/D's shenanigans, and I will definitely be back on a Friday very soon.

I didn't find the crowd flow to be an issue while I was there from 11-2?

Ok, maybe it was just me that was directionally challenged.
I couldn't find the line up. I couldn't determine where the entrance was. Then after paying, I nearly left again by going the wrong way through some alternate entrance!
Then, on my mission to find coat check, I got lost in that weird bathroom / party space corridor. After backtracking, I found the main room. Still no sign of coat check, but a security guard pointed me down this hallway, (after I nearly mistakenly left again through another exit. )
Anyhow, that other corridor turned into a dead end.
But then I checked again with someone else and yes, coat check was indeed down that corridor. After studying this mysterious corridor that lead to nowhere for a few minutes, I realized that there were two mirrors and the last black hole at the end wasn't another mirror, it was another corridor!
So I found coat check. I could go on about mistakenly sitting in the "bottle service" lounge or trying to figure out how to get up "there"... oh.. and the mythical smoking section that not even the bouncers knew existed, I consider myself lucky to find that.
While it might sound like I'm complaining, in all honesty, it was a blast getting lost in there and my friend and I were laughing at the ridiculousness of it all.
It was fun!
