Child pornography laws to be altered

Apparently they're dropping the artistic merit clause entirely from the conditions that would exempt a person from being charged.

Kind of curious what the artists think of this, as well as other tribe board members

What is the definition of pornography in the new law?

Is say someone like Anne Geddes child porn? A picture of your kid in the bathtub?

Good question, they're going to roll out the conditions tomorrow. But they're discussing it right now on CP24

I can't see too many people crying themselves to sleep for the poor artists.

Half of the artists that made use of that clause were pedos anyway.

What the fuck is this lawyer talking about?

If we see art where a toddler is clearly being used in bondage attire and being sodomized by someone else, then this clause will have done it's job

Great, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE FUCKING GREY AREAS DIPSHIT? That's where the real conundrum lies.

We're going to see more witchhunts going on soon. As per the "erotic" pampers commercial idea Casey just mentionned.

As the laws are in the US, yes. Are they often prosecuted? No.

But do keep in mind that one mother did actually get charged, and spent time in jail for photographing her 18 month old child in the bathtub. It was purely an innocent snapshot.

I can't find the link to the case right now, but when I heard about it, it made me sick that anyone would waste their time prosecuting such a pointless case, when there are far worse crimes being committed.

Cheers ... Ian :)
