Cheap places to stay in London U.K

Looking for a cheap place to stay for two people in London for about 6 days. Can anyone recommend anything? Something somewhat central would be good, don't need anything too fancy at all.

ISH is allright. central london, right across from great portland street tube station, relatively cheap (in london terms that is) and better than most dodgy hostels. within walking distance of loads of stuff.

Check out the Hyde Park Hostel
It's pretty nice and clean and is about $50ish Canadian per night for a double.
Its right beside Kensignton Palace and Park

How did you come across that place? Was it just when you got there? Or is there a good website out there that has multiple places listed? So far I've only found a few sketchy websites that were little to no help.

My partner and I stayed in a B & B on the west end of London. It was about 40 minutes by tube to downtown.

We did a search for B & Bs the night before our flight to London and came up with many listings.

It's more expensive than a hostel (we paid about £42 / night), but it was very quiet and relaxing.

I guess it depends on the focus of your trip. We wanted a vacation, quiet, and for it to be relaxing.

my friend who I was traveling with was living there at the time so I'm not sure how she came across it.
Its super close to the tube too - close to everything actually.
