I never thought I would see the day that this topic would recieve mainstream media attention. Wow.

It all started when Charlie Sheen came on the alex Jones show on wednesday (I believe). He questioned the 'official story' as a conspiracy theory and said that the tower collapses were controlled demolitions. Some entertainment show on CNN picked it up and had Alex Jones as a guest.

BOOOM!

I'll be following this one closely...

Props to Jones and Sheen and A.J. Hammer from showbiz tonight for having the balls to do this.

Charlie Sheen must be back on the yayo to pull a stunt like that.

not saying the theory is baseless by any means, but you gotta have some balls to go on national tv and talk about it

I hope it gets re-run.

Too bad Alex Jones is a fucking moron.

I hate to think he is considered some sort of representative for any kind of dissenting group against the official 9/11 events.

amen to what atp said.

If you're going to "go there" with 9/11, and you want to marginalize and make 9/11 activists look like complete morons, you run Alex Jones.

I've noticed CNN increasingly allowing leftist points of view to be aired on their shows. I was actually shocked when Blitzer let Harry Belafonte going on a long anti-Bush rant a couple of months ago.

But it just shows that CNN's doesn't really have a polical bias, as much as they do a bias towards advertising dollars. Americans aren't supporting the war on terrorism like they did a couple of years ago, and people are becoming more skeptical. Popular opinion suddenly being supported by CNN = more money for Turner.

edit - and yah...Jones is kind of a fuckin' crackpot.

Aw c'mon, Charlie Sheen will be the voice of reason.

:p

They have been hammering the hell out of this story this week. On the CNN entertainment show, they have been talking about how brave Charlie Sheen is. I have to say I feel sad that it takes an entertainment segment on CNN to explore these "new" theories.
Erica Yong was on Friday saying Charlie was a patriot and George Bush was a dictator. It's been quite the week of news on the entertainment news program.

Well I'm glad that at least asking questions in the mainstream has become more socially acceptable.
Agreed, although CNN (Lou Dobbs in particular) have gone over the edge in the other direction, in an often very entertaining way. Poor Lou is gonna have a bloody aneurism if something isn't done about the Mexicans crossing the border in Cali. I'm just waiting for the segment where he just loses his shit and starts advocating building machine gun pits that have shoot to kill orders. I think they keep using more makeup on him every day too, just to cover up the bulging vein in his head that appears whenever there's a new story about outsourcing jobs, war on the middle class, selling off the nations assets yadda yadda yadda :)

I guess they're making up for all the time that was pissed away during the media blackout between late 2001 and post 2004 election.

Yeah, it's definitely the case that our media is a product of advertising interests and less so of an internalized political agenda. Though I think that the advertising influence enforces a political slant (be it implicitly or explicitly through policy demands, etc).

As he was talking with others, there was a very loud massive explosion which seemed to emanate from between sub-basement B2 and B3. There were twenty-two people on B2 sub-basement who also felt and heard that first explosion.

At first he thought it was a generator that had exploded. But the cement walls in the office cracked from the explosion. "When I heard the sound of the explosion, the floor beneath my feet vibrated, the walls started cracking and everything started shaking." said Rodriguez, who was crowded together with fourteen other people in the office including Anthony Saltamachia, supervisor for the American Maintenance Company.
