more people interviewed for news programs need to be in an altered state. whenever global news or city tv interview people on the street/leaf fans or shoppers during a holiday season, the people tend to be so boring, dumb or annoying. i actually need to change the channel whenever i see ordinary people interviewed for the story.

i wouldn't be shocked if the naacp starts to denounce some of these autotuned/comical remixes of news interviews.....between bubb rubb, sweet brown, the black betty/bring amalamps guy who got beat up by epic beard man on the oakland bus and now ramsey, there have been a lot of these videos where african americans who were at the laughing end of the clips. of course, there are plenty of white and people of other races who are mocked regularly on the internet for saying nonsense, but i'm sure this touches a nerve.

I don't think it's troubling in the slightest. He's an outspoken man, who clearly has 'the gift of the gab' - he is entertaining for that reason alone. We find him amusing because his delivery is magnetic.

There's no need to apply racial or economic labels to this guy - he's just funny, period.

And here's why you should all feel guilty about this.

Edit: at least white people should feel guilty about this. I think. Or something.

I don't think there is any underlying racial reasons why sweet brown, ramsey ambalamps and bubb rubb became viral autotuned hits....more to do with how their comments had a catchy ring to it that lent itself to a remix (the whistles go wooooooo!). But for many educated black people who have had to overcome discrimination and stereotypes, they see these instances as setbacks.

I agree. And if you look at some of the family members interviewed, they fit ALL kinds of other stereotypes...
