Changing the National Anthem - Conservatives eye new lyrics for our national anthem

    It's a trap. If they were really going to address neutrality, they'd be doing something about the "God" bit in there.

    Id support removing that - kind of a "while we're at it" sorta thing..;)

    I wonder what the good people at PTBC: conservative advocacy would say about THAT??

    Even when I was a kid, when they brought in the "god keep our land" change, I never sang it. Never made sense to me. I changed it to "We". Because that's what actually happens, not some fantasy.

    no kidding!
    although even though Im completely non-religious, I dont even care thats in there.
    I say just leave the anthem the way it is.
    we've been singing it as is without question for decades.

    the star is doing a great job of proving that point: front page currently is "things you never knew about national anthems."

    how 'bout that.
