She has been awesome for so long now,but with the release of 'the greatest',which i consider not only the best album of 2006 but one of the best all-time recordings,the girl has me crushing.

i hate jenny lewis and all her perky annoying self-involved antics and hope some day chan will crush her and those of her ilkage with her sonic suicide balladry,that and a 12-string acoustic over their bubbly heads.


Chan,you have me crushing hard!

Why'd you have to cancel your NA tour dates?

i love chan, and i love her cover of "schizophrenia". simply beautiful.
but i disagree with you about jenny lewis. her stuff with the watson twins is not so great, but rilo kiley have some decent tunes. plus she starred in "the wizard" for christ sake.

ok, so I'm trying to find some stuff on this girl, cause I'm a music fanatic and I always go looking for stuff if I hear people talking positively about it.

anyway, I didn't find anything on itunes or the torrent site I use....google lead me to some stuff by "cat power"


is that what I"m looking for?

yeah,damon....she's been around for years...her stock has gone up considerably in the span of a few albums due to critical acclaim

surprising that a standard torrent site wouldn't have her stuff

I just didn't know she was from cat power....never heard of her...but, you can't stay on top of everything.


what's a good album or two?


they have an 8 album package there too....maybe I'll get that. :)

I like you are free...the album that really sets her apart from her contemporaries...it's stripped of a lot of what gave previous power LPs their glow and you're left with a minimal album that really is a perfect showcase for her voice...werewolf still gives me goosebumps:)

but, they'll be here in an hour or so.....good speed on this one, we have a T1 line here at work.


I'm sure I"ll like it alright, I find the value in nearly all music......

phesh....there was a guy in the studio who liked hip hop, and not much else, freaked out when I put on Roy Ayers, said it sucked, until I indicated all the samples from it.

guess if it's good enough for dj premier it's good enough for you chuckle head.


anyway....the cat power if flying in...I'll post a review of it later this aft.
