Casual Fridays

ahh the joys of not having to deal with the public..

every day is casual day!

Actually, in my industry if you show up for an interview in a shirt that has a collar (nevermind if you had a ... gasp... tie on) you'd probably not get the job just on the basis that you've obviously never been in a studio before..

Every now and then I get curious about what it's like in goofball, tie-wearing world... hmmm..

Maybe I'll wear one on monday, just cuz.

I like to dress up for work, probably goes back to my Business Lady Barbie. I don't really need to every single day, but I like to.

Nice try LivingRoom Pornstar ;)

Wish I could be more specific, but if I wore the type of clothing you are suggesting I would lose all credibility. Plus, I would not be where I am, enjoying an incredible career and engendering much respect, if I did. May sound paradoxical, but it is what it is..

YOU JUST CONTRADICTED YOURSELF

You said that if you wore more dressy shoes, your career would have been inhibited. When I called you on it, you said you COULD wear something more dressy.

No, but a friend does..

Flat feet has nothing to do with flat shoes.. I have no natural arch in one foot and the other has dropped. Most shoes have an arch put in to the shoe, but if it doesn't co-ordinate with my foot it is agony. Even many runners can be painful.. I can wear 'normal' shoes for a short period of time, but then I feel as if I am being stabbled by a hot poker..

I'd need orthotics, which are extremely expensive, or surgery to fix the problem..

Not really.. There's no rule that I can't... But in my profession, doing what I do, I'm more successful being who I am..

I tried the nice dressy look in the beginning. When I started to dress down, that's when I got a better reaction..

Did I just write three posts in a row?? Man! OK, gotta go do something!! This place is waaayy to addictive!:D

For the record, I think your responses sucked.

Go on now, and continue engendering respect from your colleagues.
