Car question.

This should probably be in the Nobody Cares thread but whatever.

Does anyone know what is wrong with your ignition when all of a sudden you cannot get your key all the way in to turn it?

If this has happened to anyone, how much did it cost to fix?

The Tumblers in the Lock Mechanism might of seized up.

This happened to me once.

Had to get the whole lock mechanism replaced. cost 400bones.

this may not be what you're talking about... but if it is it could save you some hassle...

could it be that your steering wheel is just locked up?
i know with my car sometimes if i had turned it a weird way when shutting off the car, it will lock and i wont be able to put the key in all the way to start it

so you have to wiggle and pull the steering wheel as you put the key in, and it should 'click' and unlock letting the key in, and you should be able to start it.
