Robertson head screws... you know, the square head ones?

They are much easier to use... but, since they are Canadian, those stupid Americans won't use them... idiots...

The Candu Reactor => I don't know if this is a good invention though since it is the type of reactor most developing nations have for their nucleaar process.

gramophone

invented by a German-American, Emile Berliner

telephone

invented by a some guy born in Scotland, first call placed in Boston, Mass...not sure how this makes it a Canadian invention...because Bell talked about it when he was visiting his dad in Brantford? I guess...

"For example in a speech in 1909 in Ottawa, Alexander Graham Bell said: “Of this you may be sure, the telephone was invented in Canada. It was made in the United States.”

even Bell himself seemed confused about the genesis of his magical hand-talking-machine

I guess we'll call it a tie!

it's probably less recent than that -- so i suppose not really recently at all -- but i remember being told when i was in grade school that they weren't available outside canada.

recent == < 15 yrs?
