Phone it in! On the Horn! Wrong number! Saints WR Joe Horn's cell-phone celebration in a 45-7 win over the Giants certainly has people talking.

ABSOLUTLY CLASSIC!!!!

There is one team (Minnesota, I think) that dedicates a couple of hours of practice time to practice these "celebrations". How pathetic.

Cheers ... Ian :)

meh -- did you see the way he pushed the buttons -- he didn't *really* call his family, he staged it worse than wrestling.

as espn.com said today -- it would've been better if he'd taken his picture in the endzone with a camera phone and emailed it to somebody :)

I don't like that the NFL is cracking down on this. It makes football so much more enjoyable to watch. Bring back the dirty bird!

Celebrating in the endzone is okay, but when props are involved (IMO) it tarnishes the game.
Jonnie Morton and they worm, Daunte Calpepper and his travelling sign…that is all cool, but when you hide a F**king cell phone at the goal post and make a call…that is way to much.

Maybe I'm just old school....

I agree - football is damn exciting as it is.

It takes away from the game. I'm definetely down with being pumped after a huge play, but I mean, scoring a touchdown in 45-7 win over a team thats playing with a backup QB doesn't exactly make you superman.

Your right had it been his FOURTH touchdown of the game already and sealing the deal it might have been a little to much.
But and I'm sure his coach will disagree the fact that it was his SECOND TD and had only made the score 17-7 at the time. It was more a celebration thing then anything. Come on now I think that these guys should be aloud to celebrate in some fashion scoring a touchdown is not a given in this league. Just ask Keshan.

I saw this video clip about Chad Johnson on ESPN that he wants to be the next Jerry Rice. I don’t remember Rice ever acting like an ass in front of the TV cameras.
There’s this old saying that when you score a touchdown ….act like you’ve been there before.

I was just about to say that. These antics remind me of what Hogan used to do where he would wind his hand up and put it up to his ear and then listen to the crowd roar on all four sides of the ring.

Cheers ... Ian :)
