C: Drive Dead?

My computer froze up, when I restarted it didn't see my primary or secondary drive.
I've had this happen before, and a quick reboot it would come through fine.

I ran chkdsk off the windows CD

The vol has 1 or more unrecoverable errors...

Is this thing hopelessly lost? Or is there something to be done for it?

I have a storage drive... but all my email is on C: and I would be very pissed to loose it.

All options greatly appreciated.

put the disk in another computer as a secondary drive and copy the data you need from it

if you can't boot off it, like not even into a pseudo-dos prompt, you probably won't be booting off it again until you reformat

Locating all the outlook files...

The drives lives... but now I must rescue all the relavant data.

How would I go about finding all the files to back up outlook?

these are the 2 searches I came up with

Outlook express

F:\Documents and Settings\nick\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{FA2384DB-BC7A-4682-A06E-D06AC521407B}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Outlook path

F:\Documents and Settings\nick\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
The second one took about 25 seconds to transfer so I'm assuming that's the whole back up.I use proper outlook, rather than express, so I'm assuming that that's the data set I need

If there is anything else I need to grab to do a proper restore of outlook let me know... If I loose this data I'm in bigtime trouble

So much fun when you're right at the peak of a massive project.:(

P.S. Is this drive still good after a reformat, or should I just go and buy a new one?

Those are the correct locations of the files you need to backup.
