I've been thinking about hitting this up for a LONG time. Anyone else planning on making the voyage? It's Aug. 28- Sept 2nd this year....

http://www.burningman.com/

Would anyone consider getting a few RVs and trekking down??

It's expensive, $200 US for the ticket alone, but shiiiiiit. I HAVE to make it to one.

in order to get the full experience of the burning man community it is recommended to arrive in the week heading up to the weekend.

be a crazy goa-hippie, not a new england yuppie doing something crazy as they reach 40.

Ok, i'm FORSURE going. I figure with everything included this will run about $700 max per person including rental cars, ticket, food alcohol and other possible treats.

How long does it take to drive to Nevada?? 4 days??

I've been interested in it ever since my friend mentioned it last year. Looks like it would be a WICKED photo-op.

I saw something on it and I think it would be awesome to build some 3-d works...
and I can just imagine the amazing pics I'd get back from the trip.

But I don't know if I could tough it out... I heard about the pre-training...

I believe they were at Arrival two summers ago. They scared the SHIT out of us. When you're not expecting some evil stilt beast to come crossing your path, it can fuck you up. :)

Kelly went last year and she loved it.... however, you should definitely prepare yourself b/c there is a lot of stuff you have to bring for the conditions (sandstorms) etc... its all listed on the burning man site! As for money, you may need to save a little more... its an expensive trip. I will ask her permission to give you her e-mail, so she can let you know if you are missing some details... You need to be ready for everything in the middle of the desert.

Have an amazing time!!!
