btw The Blake Preston Band will also be playing at the party. His unique style is a mixture of Rythum and Blues, Funk and Folk which he has dubbed "Futuristic-Folk-Funk!" Copies of his CD will be given away at the event.

We hope to see you out there on the 15th and thank everybody who plans to attend in advance for their support!

Blake Preston is a local Guelph legend, he's somebody everyone knows and loves in the community. His style incorporates Funk and Blues while his lyrics and vocals are more Folky.

I got him to play because this event is a fusion of talent, music and style combined in one single forum. You rarely see bands playing along side Dj's at a smaller event in Guelph. It's important to others and myself here in Guelph that the Breaks scene (and the local scene for that matter) stays alive.

Techno and House are great genres of music but people need a little BreakBeat in their life sometimes to give them piece of mind.

Though there has been an explosion of Hip Hop here in Guelph. Jungle and Breaks have all but died off lately and that’s unfortunate. Hopefully this event will be able to generate some interest in the music again.

btw Blake plays guitar and is the lead singer in his band which also inscludes an organ player, lead guitar, bass and drums so no he's not alone!
