Thats just in the last year by the way!

Are you kidding me! That is a huge list in the last year. What the fuck are they doing. At this rate they will be no wrestlers by 2010.

I want to know how many pro wrestlers there are and check out what there mortality rate is because it seems abnormally high though it is only the no name ones that are croaking. Maybe the no name ones are being assassinated.

My guess is the number of wrestlers there are and the number of useless moranic threads on tribe is pretty much the same.

But in all seriousness. Pro Sports NHL NBA MLB NFL etc. have an avg. of around 700 hundred give or take a couple of hundred depending on the sport. So yeah your right considering there is a hell of a lot of amature Wrestlers trying so very hard to get to the top. It would only make sense that there mortality rate is higher.

And Pronger just got traded to the Leafs.

The weekly newsletter that I get (yes I'm a wrestling nerd) had a good piece in it a few months ago about premature deaths amongst pro wrestlers in comparing it to other professional sports. The numbers (and causes of death) were quite shocking.

The rate at which it was happening, if it were to happen in a major sport like baseball or football would undoubtedly have federal inquiries and whatnot all over it.

But wrestling is just a "fake" sport so no one seems to care.

and don't forget sammy sosa too, he might not have been a balco client, but his weight gain was not natural either........ [/B]

I swam competitively until I was about 22. I've always been muscular, particularily for a swimmer. I went at about 185 at that time. After I quit swimming I hit the weightroom and at one point I weighted in at 220. With the personal trainers, supplements etc availible now, I could have gained more muscle if I wanted.

How a person packs on or takes off the wieght is a very personal issue. There are a myriad of factors that allow a person to pack on muscle, or lose fat etc. Those comparison shots are so fucking stupid. Comparing Barry Bonds or Sammy Sosa now to pictures from 10 years ago and then using it as some sort of confirmation that they use roids is pretty lame.

zorro, i was refering to your rediculous claim that hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in sports......

and your proof is that since they fail most of the time, it must be hard.

i don't think you'd land .280 of your punches vs. a top boxer
i don't think you'd hit .280 of your attempts at a bicycle kick in soccer
i don't think you'd hit .280 of your halfcourt shots in basketball
i don't think you'd drain .280 of your 50 ft. putts in golf
i don't think you'd score on .280 of your shots in hockey

but you don't see me claiming those things as the absolute "hardest thing to do in sports".

i've found that the only people who ever say that line are baseball players, usually as a pre-emptive strike to try to offset the fact that you don't have to be any sort of athlete to play baseball.

Pfft. Its not size, its proportion. Its a dead give away.

And if you went from 185 lean to 220 beefy, I would doubt your ability to put on even more. You'd have to step it up using quasi-steriod products.

did the shape of your head get all deformed too????

obviously i wasn't positively confirming that their on the 'roids, (the SF chronicle is doing that part) but to deny that something is awry, is just plain ignorant. you can keep your head in the sand if you want, but the fact is that a high percentage of baseball players take steroids.

And you're sure to get people that say I can tell so and so is on steroids just by looking at them. People just like to put things into easy, simple, identifiable groups and not take into account the numerous factors that enter into most of life's activities. It's just human nature and saves people actually thinking.

Human Growth Hormone (HGH) will make not just your muscles grow, but also your internal organs.

Look at some bodybuilders, with their weird bulging out middles (stomachs)-- sure sign of excessive HGH use.

Learn before you speak.

Boxers land more then 40% of there attempts
You do NOT attempt a bicycle kick everytime you try to score
In Basketball the only time you take a half court shot is at the buzzer
trying to hit 50 ft. putts in golf means you stink anyhow because you can't get any closer on the green
The hockey one I leave for Patrick.

And the only people you attempt to argue this are people who really believe that Baseball players are NOT athletic. Which just makes you pretty stupid sounding.

In this day and age you'd have to be a complete moron not to take steroids. Hmmmm I can be a mediocre player in danger of getting sent down to the minors or I can make 4 mill a year and be set for life. What should I do?

Just to add to the wrasslin' bit. The official stat is that in the last 3 years, 39 pro wrestlers have died under the age of 45.

Tell me what sport pays there best athletes HUGH amounts of dollars to fail more often then not.

Golf??? your using golf as an example? sorry man but if 70 year old men can play golf at par then your argument has no substance.

Now on to football. It takes a TEAM of players to create that hole for which the Runningback runs through.

Boxing??? Martial Arts your not really going to go there are you?
Pathatic attempt.

Digging the puck out of the corners against who did you say Bertuzzi??? Your going to compare that to trying to hit a ball that until it's only inchs away from you seems hittable until the bottom drops out and it lands in the dirt while you look silly swing for it???

There is nothing in any sport that compares to trying to hit a baseball and then after making contact trying to put where nobodys going to get it???

Think again.

i'm not going to argue the my sport is harder then your sport game. ok, yes i am :p you can argue that on spin alone there are games involving hand-eye coordination that are more difficult than baseball. for example, a serve in tennis has more spin and is coming at you faster then a baseball, and it bounces as well. and you have to move to get to it before you can even hit it.

i'm not saying it's baseball isn't hard, but there are other sports that are harder when just dealing with the examples you mentioned alone (a breaking ball).

Okay fair. But my point about baseball is that the object of this happens all game long. Understand? I mean three guys go up in an inning trying to hit a small little ball being thrown at a very highspeed. Before you can do ANYTHING in a baseball game you MUST hit the ball first.

Unike other sports such as Football or Hockey Basketball etc.

actually it's not. there's LOTS more spin on a table tennis ball, you have to move to get it, and it's constantly coming back at you, not just once when the pitcher throws it.

and in tennis the ball isn't coming back at you all game long? try returning serve against a guy hitting a tennis ball 140mph all day long and tell me it's easier then hitting a baseball.

you bat what, 4 times a game on average in baseball? LOL, do i have to do the math for you?
