Got there at 23:30. Lush and Unknown Souljah were spinning a moderate jungle set at the main room, some old skool & ragga dominated the back room, and UKG was being spun at the VIP lounge. I stayed to listen to Lush as I'm a big fan of his. I estimate a great future for him, he has everything to achieve it except maybe some experience.. but that comes with time, and he is not that old of a dj. All throughout their set Bandit was holding the mic and.. ugh.. reminding me why I dont like mc's so much.
Anyway, after those two were done Mystical and Ruckus took control of the decks. And that's how the nite began for me
. A rain of sick tunes, one after another.. hyping up the massive before the headliner comes up. At some point i went to check out the UKG at the lounge area.. and i dont regret a singe minute i spent away from the main room: Marcus, aka the universal dj, was spinning sweet breaky tracks, mixed perfectly one into another, totally emphasizing the idea of a chill out lounge.
I headed back to the main room just in time (1:30) to catch the beginning of Marley's set. Can i say anything good about this guy? Well.. nice tunes.. occasionally.. ugh.. that's basically it. Even the mc L Natural didnt seem to be too happy with his set, and justly so imho. But who cares, an hour an a half later (3:00) the ultimate don of tdot jungle took the business into his hands. Obviously we all know who am i talking about - none other then the one like MARCUS!!! (*waving "applause" sign*) The sickest dj tdot had ever seen! 10 minutes into his set and i forgot who i came there for, the headliner for that nite became our man marcus, UK for me was off the globe. SSSSSSSSSSSSSICKEST TUNES, MAAAAD MIXING... He literally got me high. And that considering that i was almost totally sober all nite (1.5 beers only).
Has been said a million times but somehow it never gets through.. OUR LOCALS KILL THE UK HEADLINER 90% of the time.
All in all i had a great time, and i became even a bigger fan of marcus than i was before.
I hope the high price was worth for everybody.. luckily enough i got g/list. That means $$$ for one more party to attend this week.
Shouts to MoFo the raver bwoi, Space Cadette who was by far the cutest junglette in there, smiling Jason and ol'skool dancer Chris, Brian the womanizer, and all the rest...
