haha.

Speaking of Kingston, anyone remeber the ice storm in 2000 or whatever it was. ?

i was already living in toronto at the time and our weather dome was holding strong that time (seems it's broke this weekend). i do remember going home shortly after it and looking at the park across from our house and noticing how many trees were much smaller than they once were.

Yeah we live in Portsmouth Village. Power out for a week.

The funny thing was we could see the exact power line that was down, just looking at it periodically and waiting for someone to fix it.

Lots of fireplace action. It looked spectacular, all the ice.

I am picking up a GT Sno Racer at 2pm.

I am in the Runnymede Dundas area.

It should take me approximately 30 minutes to assemble it.

I need:

-A massive fuck off hill
-A partner in crime

i think my mom didn't have power for about a couple weeks. my old housemates on princess street said they were fine. seems the power cables run underground in parts of downtown.

They cry and bleed just as readily as other children!

go to christie pits; all kinds of guys (not just kiddies) will be there; I may even watch on my way to the Bloor.

I have to say though, that first serious shovel session of the season, in old clothes over jammies, is pretty amazing - man that was a lot of snow! I had to shovel off my porch to get to the walk.
The nice thing is, the wreath on my door is all snow-decorated now too :)

NO, especially if the store owner is an elderly person. Lol, our neighbour is tooling around with his snow blower, looking for some more snow to move. Besides, it's a great way to meet more neighbours!

... I'm resting up for round#2 of driveway shovelling (and I don't even drive, TTC all the way).

christie pitts is going off for toboggans and such....check it out

that was the monster hill in the area growing up especially that north run right by the rink. you can pick up some serious speed on that run. i was joking with a co-worker yesterday about this very thing although adding the component of doing a shot of tequila or something along the lines every couple of runs just to keep it interesting. lol
