Why? Everyone is talking about it no? Pride was founded on protest, when no one else listened or gave a shit about them. boohoo, the parade is delayed 30 minutes. You poor entitled white folk are forced to think about something you don't want to think about. Boohoo.
This is basically my take on it. Oh no, people are protesting at a parade that started as a protest. Fetch me my smelling salts.

This is also not the first time that the parade has been stopped. There have been AIDS Action Now die-ins, stalls, and reroutings of the parade (to Queens Park a couple of times if I recall correctly). The more conservative members of the community freak out, and the more radical peeps tell everyone this is the way it should be. And so the queer world turns. This is getting broader attention because everyone wants to be an asshole about BLM.
