So another year has gone by, and the sudden influx of "Top This of 2001" and "Top That of 2001" charts are popping up, i thought it be interesting to see what people thought was the best of the best in trance in 2001. So with that said, heres my attempt to do this by setting up a vote on the best tracks of 2001. This will open myself up to whats out there, and maybe it can introduce some new stuff to users voting!

In either case, it should be interesting i think...so go here and enter the site, and click on the voting option to be heard, and cast your vote!!

The list is pretty spot on.

I'd have to throw in:
Blizzard Bros Inc - Thunder
Chrome Dioxide - Hardcore Motherfucker

of the top of me head:

dj rock - survival
nuw idol - my liberation and off the hook
s.h.o.k.k. - isn't it all a little strange

more later...

"Mad World" (DJ John Bora rmx) - Nu Romantix

I haven't met anyone I've played it to who didn't like it... including Aphrodite herself! lol

Just listened to this.. I now understand why so many have jumped off the uplifting trance bandwagon. Too much cheddar.

Cri - That was its intention..(at least for me anyway)!...im glad it helped...

Variant - Im normally pretty picky about how vocals are used in trance tracks..and this is why i regularily dont appreciate too many vocal tracks...but there ARE some good ones in which you might like...The Nu Romantix track i haveta say isnt one of my faves, but i dont hate it either...my faves at the moment have to be definitely be Perpetual Dreamer - The Sound of Goodbye (Armin Mix) and Sunscreem Vs. Push - Please Save Me (Push Rmx)

...those are some tracks i only WISH i had in my vinyl collection...

I went to pit records and asked about it they were like "wha?" and I was like "well I think it's hard Trance". and he's like "Well you think or it is?" and I'm like "Fuck that attitude i'm going to Traxx"

Hey God,

I spin purely off CD, so I encoded the vinyl when I bought it. So if you want it, I have it on mp3/wav.

e-mail: radiojesus44@hotmail.com
let me know.

Most of my fav tracks of this past year can be found on Politics of Dancing (pvd). Those two discs blow my mind.

Other notables are PPK, Push (the legacy), and Rapture the cheese factory. These are my mainstream pics no doubt, and of course all overplayed. But IMO the best trance of the year.
