Best scenic train routes from / near Toronto

Despite the most horrible schedule on earth, my first trip taking a passenger train was incredible. I got three hours of daylight coming from Sudbury into Toronto. The track followed a mass network of ravines that I had never seen before. Is this what GO Riders see each morning?

I'm thinking of taking a weekend trip just look at stuff that's pretty. Destination isn't really important. Anyone have any favourite routes?

The train from the Perimeter Institute in Waterloo to St. Jacob's is quite nice. It also involves a free lesson in steam engines and thermodynamics if your kids are into that sort of thing.

http://www.perimeterinstitute.ca/

Begins and ends at a zoo. (and a theoretical physics institute).

(the thermodynamics part is clearly, not theoretical anymore on a steam engine hahaha)
