Well there's one DJ that won't be coming back to Canada anytime soon.
The man was seriously pissed off. The needles were skidding like crazy, the mixer was fucked up, the sound kept dying out, etc. etc. Totally unprofessional of the promoter not to get the equipment checked out beforehand. Especially for a techno DJ. They're tend to be very picky about that stuff.
Also, I think the promoter was also very much aware of the "other" event being held at the Roxy Blu that night (he denied it in another thread on this board). Sorry but techno crowds don't mix very well with 30-somethings in suits and leather jackets.
The whole thing was just terribly organized.
Still, Sims played a very decent set (especially towards the end). And for what it's worth, I had fun.
