I had this same problem when I moved to Mississauga. I ordered a new line, and as soon as I got it, I got about 5-10 fax calls a day.<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by Michkey:

Anyway, call Bell to try and come up with a solution. Their CSR did nothing but try and upsell their feature products: caller ID, *69, and others that would not solve the problem. I was pissed!
So I called Bell, and got a similar reponse as you mentioned. They added that I could sign up for a call block service or something.
I asked them to change my number to a new one. They said they would do it free of charge. They changed the number, but my next bill had the $55 fee that they normally charge (although I managed to get them to drop the charge eventually).
So did that solve my problem? NO! My new line gets the exact same amount of fax calls everyday. So I've given up. I just turn the ringer off as I only use it for outgoing calls anyways.
