I guess I agree with zoo to a certain extent, because I really believe that the way someone communicates either verbally or with written language regardless of the medium says much about that person, and generally a person who constantly misuses and disrespects language (which in the correct hands can be pretty fucking fantastic) is the kind of irresponsible, careless halfwit who would bore me to tears if I ever took the time to decipher just what the fuck he or she was trying to say.
having said that, I honestly don't give a shit if someone types like a retard, or is too lazy to spell simple words correctly, because I can always just skip over the stuff that looks like it was written by an infant or a foreigner, and maybe this person who is careless with language is really good at communicating in other ways, like singing or miming or playing the flute or making those pretty swan-shaped designs out of tinfoil you sometimes get for doggy bags at finer dining establishments.
