Okey -- those who use gmail know when you're looking at a message there's a frame on the right that offers the option to 'expand all items' or 'expand conversation' or something to that effect (I'm not sure exactly what it says because somehow I've blocked the frame using AdBlock).

How do I restore this frame?

Thanks Nerdlingers.

rtfm?

turn off adblock temporarily, right click on the frame to find out what it is specifically, then add this to your whitelist alternatively just whitelist *gmail.com under tools -> adplus plus preferences

this seems to be affecting both my work & home computers -- I guess I'll uninstall the adblock extension tomorrow @ the office and see what goes down.

To be honest, I don't know how I'll do once the GEM & other banners become visible again.....in the morning, someone dial nine and one, and when I seize and hit the floor dial one again.

well...... I'm really at a loss as to what's happening here. AdBlock is uninstalled, I've rebooted, and the frame remains non-visible.
Anyone?

I find Adblock+ to be a little overenthusiastic at blocking shit compared to the regular Adblock. Try using that instead?

it shouldn't be a problem at all -- totally uninstalled all extensions that have anything to do with blocking content
all I have installed now is:

Tab Mix Plus
All-In-One Gestures
Customize Google
Back is Close

I'm in the bizarro world

In another thread, I made reference to the new Quick Contact list in gmail - I don't see it if I use Firefox (sometimes I do, sometimes I don't). Even stranger, if I use IE I can see more options under Settings->Chat than if I use Firefox.

Kind of off topic, but it's related to firefox, is there a way to block flash banners? I am trying to block the This Is London banner up top. Will Adblock do the trick?

I haven't tried Flashblock, but I thought why not un-install the flash plugin in Firefox so no flash loads at all. If you really need to see a page with flash, load it in M$ IE 6.

Did you ever get this working? Are you making sure to install the filters properly from http://www.pierceive.com/ ?
If using Adblock+, you have to install the regular filters AND the second set of filters which has a gmail exclusion in it.
