ATTN GEEKS: Capture Copyrighted Video to PC ??!?

Some video cassettes don't let you capture footage to your comp - what software do you need to get around this?

I can tell you how to get around dvd's and other digital sources but not a crappy analogue source

What do you want to do?

just put it on your computer or burn a vcd or svcd?

something else?

i want to precisely capture a few short movie segments (less than 10 seconds each) and then record it back to vhs...doing this with 2 vcr's is possible, in theory, but the 2 second lag start/stop time makes it impossible to do cleanly - hence, it would be much simply to capture to pc and use premiere to create an exact clip
