I deleted a bunch of photos off my digital camera thinking I'd already loaded them onto my computer. Of course I realize that I did not. Is there any way to retrieve them or are they gone forever??

I expect they just removed the file reference as is done on a computer.

Whether you can get them back depends on how much money you want to spend I expect.

i think you can recover data from a flash card just as you could a regular hard disk

#1 thing you should do in the meantime is not take anymore pics, nor even turn your camera on until you intend on doing the data recovery

yes, and i've done this before too to recovery pics off a flash card. if you are on PC, you can use a program called Ontrack EasyRecovery Professional. Just search your favorite torrent site.

oh wait, you know how to do that? and also what a torrent is right?

EDIT: just read about the new pics... yah.. you are screwed but there's still a bit of hope.. if the pics were important then it's worth a try..

I tried an official Sony program...it found nothing on the most important card and one deleted photo on another. Weird.

i probably wouldn't trust sony's "official" program ...

if the memory card isn't currently "full" but was at one point, there should be many pics recoverable ..
