Apple geniuses broke my iphone!

So I went in to the eaton centre iphone to get replacement headphones which went ok. I mentioned that me phone is having some dropped calls issues and the genuis ran a diognostic. he reported back that there is something wrong with the firmware and that he would do a restore. which I said sure

he came back ten minutes later and said that my phone was locked to another carrier and that I have to go unlock it to get it working again....

MY PHONE WAS WORKING PERFECTLY FINE WITH THE GODDAMN MOST RECENT UPDATE...

I explained this to him he passed me off to the spikey haired tattoo wanna be uber geek who basically said that they shouldnt even be helping my phone in the first place because it was an apparent unlocked "illegal" phone...

the funny thing is...THE SAME APPLE STORE GAVE ME THIS IPHONE 3GS AFTER I TOOK IN MY IPHONE 3 G COMPLAINING ABOUT A MALFUNCTION 3 WEEKS AGO!!!!!!!

Now, I can't unlock my phone myself cus it's giving me problems not to mention I am without a phone.

tribe please help what the shit is this crap!

You might want to head back in there with the paperwork showing them the phone came from them in the first place - they will support it once you establish proof it came from them.

the store would also be able to tell if you bought your phone from that location

I'm thinking of taking my iphone 4 in to get the battery checked. It started off great but lately it's been dismal. Hope I don't experience anything like this.

i think i walked by an iphone repair place on college st just west of bathurst yesterday... remember seeing express fixes..

maybe google them and see if they can help

I came in with an 8 Gig 3 g...there was an issue with it...the chick looked at the phone..then checked to see if it was under warrenty which it was and gave me an iphone 3gs 16...NO CHARGE basically an equipment swap.

I know for a fact apple does paperwork for everything, so there is a hole in your story pertaining to your innocence.

it's alright if you don't want to get into it but just understand your story as presented has no merit

I went to school with a couple of the geniuses (genii?) at the Eaton Centre location. I know they talk a lot of "pour water on it" but they wouldn't deliberately go out of their way to fuck it up. They take their mac super-stardom pretty seriously.

The floor staff, however, are a rotating posse of jokes in blue shirts.

there is a paper trail if they scan the serial number I signed electronically on a suped up iphone.

I want them to trace the phone back I encourage them

The paperless option still uses power and energy. And she still had to write down your email on a piece of paper.

cant you stalk the store and watch for the tree hugger chick and hope she remembers you and then get her to help you.
I dont even know what jailbroken or locked is so ....
I would just go back to the place and hope you get someone else and try again.
did you pay cash or credit card for the initial phone? there should be some record of your initial purchase and the then warranty swap for the new phone.
Id just go back and try to find someone over the age of 30 to help you.
