I'm going to a live show down at Lee's Palace this friday... a friend said they're pretty damn good- a mix of funk, soul, hiphop and jazz?

Any word?

Yup, they're pretty hype. I saw them years ago.... like '98 at some party at the Newz. I think DJ Rectangle played the same night too. I'm gonna go on Friday since I live accross the street from Lee's.:)

I used to go to those shows as well! more important than seeing the pocket-dweelers was getting our under-aged booze on!

It was all about the bathroom sessions for my crew. I remember running back and forth betweeen the guys and girls bathrooms...it was nug-fueled hippie anarchy down there! $5 to get in, which included a drink...can't argue with that. I also used to see a bunch of funk bands down there, including fuzzy love, which later became FLQ. I never really understood dancing at all until that year...the funk permanently re-wired my brain and body.

:D

My friend Gord is the bass player, so I've been rocking out to this band since they were a little nothing band!

p.s. the show is at Mod Club not Lee's.

I've seen them and they were wicked. According to my wife, our unborn child was rocking out in the womb during the performance. ;)

I have an autographed poster in my office from their performance at the Bombshelter at UW almost two years ago now...
