I find your last sentence interesting. Which reviews don't you trust? It's interesting because it really is the crux of facebook's value prop: relying on reviews from people who you DO trust, (and tribe.ca to a degree). My experience may be worth more to your purchasing decision vs someone on google reviews even though we have never met.
By the way I've never heard of lynda.com but I appreciate the link because it really seems interesting. I guess the best bet for you to do would be a free trial to see if YOU like it.
Are you looking to learn to program or to design? It's great for design, but for programming, there's better out there...
A bit of both.
Right now though, specifically WordPress.
like what? how to use it? or you want to create your own template?
how to set it up on your website?
or you want to learn php/mysql?!
download it - if you want to pay go for webtuts for their premium account they have everything [what are you learning?]
Sometimes I find lynda.com tutorials drone on and on and on - maybe that's the information you prefer. I was trying to improve on my MS SQL info, was forced to skip the first few chapters on their intro bs that didn't really teach me anything new.
yeah definitely download it, I wouldn't bother paying for it.
