i think i've figured out why, or part of why, timmy's is so addictive, when you peal back the tab on the lid so you can drink the remaining edges are quite jagged and angled up, moreso than i've ever noticed with any other lid. i suspect that this is intentionally designed to create tiny cuts on our lips to allow coffee to enter our bloodstream directly.
