there are really no words to express the heights we've all experienced on this show!

getting to such high levels with our show was mainly depending on YOU and all those who were there on the floor - THANK YOU - you were BEAUTIFUL!
we have the POWER - you are the ones who GIVE IT to us - together we CREATE -
"SOMETHING WONDERFUL".

again, we are short of words. just keep on doing and being what you are.
stay beautiful - open minded - and keep pumping.

It's cliched to complain about how much better things used to be so I will try to refrain from doing so. But at the same time one of the reasons why I enjoyed the Resistor party so much was because it is a throwback in many ways. People aren't afraid to venture beyond the typical norm, be it in the way they dress, what they do over the course of the night, or the music played. The music is hard and driven all night long, the kind of energy you remember from the full tilt 2-5AM period of parties past. I recognize that while such a full tilt party with creative and unique elements may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it certainly is mine. When I go out, I want to go all out. I was able to do this at Resistor.

Being a person who gets off on strange and new things, Analog Pussy's incorporation of unique elements (even a cello being used at one point) is a welcome departure from from the typical decks and effects most DJ's limit themselves to in clubs. My perspective is that if I'm going out I want to see and hear things that I couldn't get at home. While I didn't catch all of their set (apologies Wojtek) I did like what I saw.

For me however who owned the night was Satori. His mixing seemed absolutely seamless technically, which is no small feat considering that tech/psy/goa/whatever trance doesn't really have distinguishable phases to allow for easy mixing. This however, I feel is a strength of this type of music, because if you want relentless pounding beats, you got it. It's been a while since I danced as hard as I did that night - it was almost violent

Props to Clayton and the Resistor crew for pulling off such a cool night, your efforts to do something different do not go unnoticed or appreciated. As I said after attending the previous Resistor party, looks like I have a new home for the next little while.

we haven't reviewed a party in a while, so here's our latest on Sep 29th, Toronto Canada.

(next shows are in Mexico, October 6th & 13th)

arriving to Toronto we were a bit overwhelmed seeing lots of mental cases in the streets. so many loonies in Toronto, we thought, one must wonder what the party would be like... the promoters explained there's a mental hospital in the center of town so it must be the reason.

hmmm.. after playing in their party we're still in doubts! that was one crazy event.

almost half of the crowd at the 'Reverb' club were dressed with black vinyl & lace, had
tattoos and colored hair. are we at the right club? are we supposed to play a cover song for Covenant or Bauhaus, is Sid vicious alive??? but these creatures were dancing like naturally born trancers.

the psy trance scene is slowly growing in Toronto, explained Hillary and Clay from
"Resistor" - the party promoters.

they are practically importing the sound of trance to Toronto, "converting" people to
expand to other styles of music. the new cyber-goth music demonstrates electronic motives and more people open up to trance as well. but this sound gets its own unique interpretation in Toronto.

on stage, just before playing, there are few seconds of silence. eternal moments that seem
like forever. at this time, you can tell what your gig will be like. you see their eyes.

and their eyes were wide open, thrilled, examining - innocent in a way. it was a virgin initial experience, no unwritten code yet, not a habit. only letting themselves go. you have to be brave to do that. for us this was getting back to our roots of trance. where our body is taking over everyday
consciousness. only then can miracles happen.

the promoters handed little alien dolls & alien candies to everyone, and we swear we saw there real aliens too. that tall girl was, for sure!

we thank Toronto for bringing us back to innocence.
