So how many of us out there think that we can extend our winning streak to 9 unbeatable games tonight???

Charlotte's the team to beat tonight. I'm hoping against hope that we will give them a run for their money, and maybe even beat them. Team confidence can go a long way, you know.

Sassy's on the bandwagon with us as well. Funny conversation I had with her last night:

me: oh really! the one with Charlotte!! Damn, i'm so jealous!

Sassy: no no no, I'm going with my friend Mark. Who's Charlotte? Do I know her??

me: Charlotte's the team we play. As in Charlotte Hornets.

Depends. Team is gelling without Vince Carter, but they still need him. Hopefully the team has learned that Vince Carter does not have to have the ball every single play, and that Vince can rely on other players to get the job done as well.

Good, because the good times are rolling and if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Everyone is playing really well.

Bad, because the playoff's are around the corner, and should we make it, Vince will come in handy.

Maybe Vince's mommy can kiss his boo-boo and make it better...

How many times has everyone jumped off the bandwagon only to jump back on? Didn't they lose like 17 in a row? and everyone was saying how garbage they were calling for Wilkins to be fired, Carter to step it up and the team to spend money? @ least leaf fans stick it out and thats why hockey flourishes in Toronto.... How much longer do you anticipate Toronto will have a basketball team... 3 years?

A fickle fan base combined with the canadian dollar won't keep VC here or anyone else for that matter...

B-Ball Fans need to stick it out, that way you'll have something to cheer for in the future, instead of watching them win the final after relocating to Wisconson.

i'm the official president of the "Why the fuck did this team ever think they needed Vince Carter" fan club..

i've been home mostly... lost my job, so i've been pretty incoherent and drunk for the past couple months, but now my pockets are starting to feel the strain of 24/7 drinking, and my severance money is starting to wear thin... so i'm finally sober enough to turn on my computer and peruse the board again... where've you been miss october seventy-six?

dude, what are you on about??

people get frustrated when their team loses, be it any sport. fickle fan base??????? raps never lost their fans in the true sense of the word. it's just frustrating to see your team suffer. Which happens with EVERY team, EVERY sport.

Their winning streak doesn't change the fact that Wilkens fucked up. Lots of Toronto fans are hoping we wouldn't make the playoffs so we have a chance at snatching top drafts next year, and hopefully have enough cash to trade wilkens for a better coach. Carter hasn't lost his superstar status -- he's still the franchise, but now he's got a solid confident team that he can rely on when he plays INJURED. Let's say that again. CARTER WAS PLAYING INJURED.

charlotte is the beast of the east right now - they're really pulled things together in the second half - if we beat them, we might be able to roll into the 7th seed in the conference..

this will be a much tougher challenge than the fading pacers.

just a personal opinion, but i hate basketball..

and i wouldn't jump on the bandwagon even if the Raptors did win the World Series

And our team was floundering in light of the injury. Let's not forget, at the moment that carter got injured, our entire first lineup was injured as well. So that left us with a substandard second string, with a jampacked western road trip schedule to tackle. I think it's fucking brilliant of them to have come this far, when any other team (see nyc knicks, and miami heat) would have GIVEN UP.

May I suggest doing some research first before you argue the longevity of raptors' stay in toronto.

EXCEPT Alvin Williams.... i hate to say it, because i know i've been one of the biggest Alvin Williams bashers at times, but fuck is he showing he was worth the money

I'm a little proud because they are a Toronto team, but I still don't watch basketball..:)

Now hockey, there's a sport that deserves a little more support around here..:)

What's been nice to see lately is that every player on the floor is taking turns pulling out big games. We've seen JYD, Alvin Williams, A.D., MoPete, and Childs each with big games at one point or another in the past few weeks.

Make room on the bandwagon for one more... :)

does anybody think that making the playoffs will only hurt next season's raptors squad?

i mean:
- no early draft pick
- lenny wilkens will most likely stay as head coach
