Alex: Have your reviewers heard of a tape deck???

...if you go on E-bay you might find one of these crazy devices...people used to record and playback music on them...hopefully the call for tape reviewers worked...

...actually if I may...ummm...something else...why does house vinyl get a full page of reviews but no other genre???...i understand you seem to have some sort of deal with Release but...


first off vinyl reviews are really only for Dj's...so most people don't care...the records are most likely sold out by the time the magazine gets to press....

..and the house they review is a pretty narrow slice of the genre anyways....

...if your gonna review vinyl...why not at least get a couple people to jungle or breaks or Roxy Blu house etc...etc....etc....


...and I miss the picture captions....

actually IT DOES!!! Recall where the word "house" music itself comes from - the WareHOUSE in Chicago, hence "warehouse music" shortened to "house music". Not to mention the club "Paradise garage" = "garage" music

^^^^That's debateable-as is the origin of most slang terms.
I hear that house just came from the term "house band" as in the
group that was/is featured in that joint, and the "house" term in reference to the DJ was just a derivative.

Personally I like to think of it in architectural terms- house fot the house, garage in the garage, booty in the bedroom..

Alex: i find it very funny how you avoided the questions or concerns and went on to flame the person asking them.

he has some very valid points.. vinyl for example released weekly.. your mag is done up monthly he is right by the time the people get the mag the vinyl is prolly either long gone or way over stockd and overplayed.

I dont read your zine... dont care to either... but by the sounds of it he is commenting on the lack fo reviews for tapes why not review tapes?

ya i'm being sarcastic.. i cant stand alex and his ways... his publication is bleh mediocure.. he spams us with ads and pop ups on his msg board....

and ONE of my biggest pet peeves about this site/zine is his logo policy on flyers and his upcomming event forum.

what about small events.. or events with no flyer.. or NO logos at all... ya woudl figure was azine about educating people and letting them know whats going on in the party scene.. not just what promoters are kissing the most ass.
