No one showed up... i dont know if everyone was broke and tired from threeday or what, but it was one EMPTY venue...

AK still dropped a sick set, even though MC Nai did everything in his power to butcher it. He deeply re-enforced my opinion that i luv jungle but i hate 95% of mcing. Insulting the ten ppl that are in the venue for the poor turnout is bullshit, which is all Nai was doing, and it's a tribute to AK1200 that i stayed for his whole set. Maybe you should have some lyrics instead of trying to get the ten ppl in the venue scream 1200 after you say AK... 'AK 1-2-0-0, he's a superhero?!?!?!?' even the security guard i talked to wanted to kill him...

Respect to kinetic for droppin a good set as well. I LOVED that wu tang - Cream remix, i never heard it before, and i luv the jungle remixes of hip hop traxx i know back to front... whatever, it was worth my 10 bucks...

For what it is worth, MC Stryka did most of AK's set, not Nai. If you're going to give someone harsh criticism, wether it deserved or not, make sure you direct it @ the right person. Otherwise, thanks for the respect on the set and thanks for coming out to check AK. He's a badmon for real.

alright, didnt mean to criticize the wrong mc, he did kick a few good rhymes, and i've heard him do good shit b4, i was just pissed cuz he was ripping the crowd for pretty much AK's whole set, and i understand being pissed about the lack of attendence, but telling the ten ppl that actually show up 'that you guys don't represent toronto, and you make me fucking SICK' is just bullshit. I danced my ass off, and had almost a personal set dropped down by a wikkid fucking DJ with my own fucking dancefloor. I'll be there if he comes out again, and one thing i agree with stryka about is that i feel bad for AK if that was his first Toronto visit, but blasting the ten TRUE junglests that represented to hear badman touch down pissed me right the fuck off... i understand he was pissed too, but if he wanted junglests to yell at, he shoulda gone to turbo and yelled at them

thanx for the clarification kinetic, nuff respect to the promoters for bringing in AK. With almost none of the jungle headliners showing up to threeday, i wasn't about to miss this, and regardless of the attendence i was not disappointed, as ak dropped some SERIOUSLY FUCKING DIRTY TRAXX

I think it shows something when peeps would rather support one of their own than someone else......maybe the scene is maturing

It does suck for AK that he didn't get a good reception, and he probably left with a pretty bad idea of what Toronto is all about, but fuck it, I'd rather support Lush too, the man is one of the best on the continent, and better yet he's one of us

Its time people stopped drooling over international talent and treating our own like they don't even count.........I always hear people saying "oh fuck that party, its only locals" I think thats bullshit

I know toronto has some of the best DJs on the planet and Lush is probably my favorite local dj. i admit that i do drool over some international talent, and i never said i dont drool over our locals too. I have no clue how many times i've heard lush spin, but i know i had never heard ak spin. does that make me a less mature junglist for wanting to go hear him??? i didnt think 'oh there's only fucking locals at turbo' i thought 'AK1200 is at system' PERIOD

big up MC Lucid, haven't seen u in ages, and i agree that both nai and stryka are good mcs (even i did mix up which one was which...)

i've seen Stryka in Ottawa...he spelled Ottawa with an 'A'..i kind of ignored him after that

i've also seen AK1200 & Lush at the same party (Canaday Day:CD01 in Ottawa) and Lush was a MUCH better DJ
AK1200 was boring to the max...yah he had 'dope' tracks (massive dark dnb) but he did such a boring job at mixing them every track sounded the same
Lush on the other hand came on afterwards and blew the spot up (Planet Dust mixed perfectly into three different tracks?!!?! sick!)
