when was the last time he was in Toronto?

I've been listening to some more resent stuff.. not so much on the hip hop tip.. a little more electroish, but I heard a recent set and tonnes of wicked tracks with some electro, house and even DnB thrown in... crazy shit

Crazy that you mention that... I was at work the other day and look over at the LP section and guess who's shoppin for vinyl. Bam himself. Then he asked me what the tune playing was and bought two copies of Massive Attack's 'Blue Lines' on wax. Apparently, he was stopping over in London before going to Russia for a gig. He also bought a bunch of old soul & funk LP's.
Legends never stop digging.

the man is a legend.. did you know that Life Magazine named him one of the most important people of the 20th century? He is the one that adopted the term "hip hop to describe that scene that was being born in the the bronx in the 70's?

I haven't been to a 'Bam show since the last time I saw him at Echo Park in the Bronx... shit that must have been '81 or so... He was pretty good that night, but Starski really stole the show with his 'bomb-ditty-bomb' bullshit...

;)
