Affordable pet neutering?

I need to have my cat neutered soon and my vet wants $400 for the procedure which seems on the high end.

Can anyone recommend any options close to downtown that might be a little more reasonably priced, without sacrificing the quality of care?

There is only one thing you need to know, although prices aren't listed they range ~$200 all in for dog and I think a little less for cats.

Donlands animal hospital did it for me for 175$ i think after tax.

they are located just south of Donlands and O'Connor Drive in the east end.

Any other recommendations for the SPCA? This looks much more reasonable for such a quick/routine procedure.

Toronto animal services does it on the cheap, but you don't get any follow up care, which can end up costing the same should an infection or other problem arise.
