I just wanted to make it clear to everyone and to let people know that the floor is open for anyone who would like to organize a summer cottage adventure!

I know there's been a lot of talk about this- and I fully support the idea, but as these kinds of things take months to prepare and organize, I cant allow myself to devote THAT much time to cottage parties! *S* Otherwize I would be planning year-round!

So please, anyone who feels they are up for the job, the time to book a cottage is NOW (trust me on this- my parent's cottage is already booked all summer except the time we reserved!- people book in jan and feb for cottages in the summer....)

I'd be definetely willing to guide someone if they need assistance.

i propose we do it at your cottage laura... shroomfest 2002... sometime in the summer..

maybe ALL summer!! we can all move up there and start our own little tbk nudist colony version 2.... and we can grow food and brew our own rev...!!!!!!

see that was easy to plan.. damn i'm good at this.

I will definitely go to a summer cottage party.

I will organize the liquor consumption to consolidate and reduce packaging costs.

(ie keg)

Also a lake would be nice.
I still have to go skinny dipping with Chear Bear.
Drunk.
And high.
Under a full moon.
With an air mattress.

And a tube of lube.
And lavander massage oil.
ANd menthol candies for my cunning linguistics.

That is all.

I'm down, along with Alchemy & Richie (sorry suckers! you've been voted in!) to get the sonic aspect together.

As far as looking for large cottages to rent...how the heck does one go about doing it? i think Mr. Furious said that he was down for working out that aspect of it...

I booked this property for a week with my crew last year. It's near Ottawa in the Gatineau mountains and is the dopest spot for a DJ outdoor jam ever.

Its 100 acres very private. Sleeps like 18. A converted, fully renovated barn, and quite possibly the greatest spot for shrooming in Canada.

Its a yoga retreat, but they book it for $1,000 a week.

i've done a few summer cottage rentals in my time... i could probably help assist with this.. but we would need to do it ASAP cause any summer cottage worth renting gets rented up PRONTO...

what would be the ideal weekend? suggestions?

and what would be too far out of the city? is 3 hrs too far? 4 hrs?

P.S. theres some nice options 3-4 hrs away... on a lake... surrounded by trees ... beautiful decks to lounge on.. docks to chill on in the mornin,... etc.

It's booked - that's shitty.

We totally rocked it, you could hear the tracks like a kilometer away, booming out through the night air. And then you would walk back up the meadow in the huge clearing in back of the barn, and see the glowing yellow windows from inside, it looked like a blessed-beacon of drugs and women.

Truly an amazing place.

BUT WE NEED A COTTAGE BY A LAKE.

the lake is the KEY. ;)

I'd totally be up for organzing something like this. There are just two problems.....1.I'm going back to school in March so I might find in a few months that I don't have the time to plan this, or that I won't even have the time off to go. So someone might have to take over my responsibilities. 2. I don't have a car, so someone would have to drive me to wherever the cottage is to check it out.
