yeah, it's basicly a semi-pro interface. nothing like impulse tracker or fruity loops! it's basicly a virtual rack of gear. for more info go to the propellerheads website for more info.

I got used to it after a while. I only use the sampler in it, and sometimes the durm machine, and sequencing those is alright. The only thing that bugs me is that you can't custumise the keys, and the functions of the alt and ctrl keys are reversed in Reason and Cubase, and I always fuck it up when I'm dragging something.

someone has it on audiogalaxy and i was surprised so i decided to post it here

it's a trance-remix of a song "pirat! - wolkenflug pt 1"

the original was either an .IT or a .XM, i forgot

imo the original is the best version ..

for my remix i ripped the sequence for the strings / bass / acid synth and added my own strings / bass / drums / percussion

i turned an amazing orbital-esque electronic-trancey tune into a typical dj-friendly soft trance tune along the lines of william orbit

but whatever

at the time [2 years ago] i was lord of the trance so i remixed everything including the kitchen sink into trance

so yeah

download it and tell me what you think

re. the sequencer, yeah i think it's a real bitch to use. the good thing is though, you can get the drum machine programmed, and then you can quickly copy the pattern to your drum track.

sequencing is what's taking me a shitload of time!

What's all that gear you have? I recognize the FS1R. Are those modular synths or just patch bays? Looks fucking wikkid!

unfortunately they're patch bays! most of the synths we use are soft-synths. although we do get some use out of the yamaha and roland. my partner is the one who deals with most of the gear.

we also have the dr770 which we use quite a bit. studio vision pro is the main sequencer. the tone generator isn't used that much. our most used gear is actually the bass distortion pedal, the mixers and the patch bays!
