A car-towing question

Occasionally I park in the parking lot for the City of Toronto (illegally) buildings department. I’m out of there at 6 am so I don’t inconvenience anyone, although I’m not supposed to park there. Well, this morning my fucking car wouldn’t start. I then call CAA, and they say it’s going to be an hour or so. Fine, whatever. Except that when I’m on the phone the guy who usually parks there blocks me in. And when I go in the building to see what’s up one guy threatens to tow me if it’s there tomorrow (thanks dude, I was thinking the same thing) and then tells me the owner of the blocked car is off premises and won’t be back until noon. I see red and feel murderous rage building up inside me, and pleasantries were exchanged. I absolutely positively had to be at work, so I had to leave.

Since the spot is owned by the City, what ‘mechanism’ is involved in getting my car towed? Can any Joe Blow overpaid office worker call up and say ‘tow that bitch’ or is there the typical civic bureaucracy involved in this? Hopefully it’ll be there come this afternoon.

I didn't realize that only positive comments were allowed to be posted on Tribe.

I must not have received that email.

If it's a private parking lot, you can be towed for sure.

Especially parking illegally.

I totally know this, but I'm curious (since it's the City) who makes the call for the towing. The receptionist? Her boss? The administrator downtown?

No it's not!?

If it's private property the owner of the property calls for towing.

If it's a public parking lot, then it'd be the city.

something positive- if its private property you do not have to pay the towing company - refuse to pay the fine - and demand your car back- if they refuse threaten to call the cops. (trust me I know)

if it has anything to do with police, fire, or ticketing then your fucked (as you should be)

I hope I get that flat near your momma's house. She uses the carjack to get on and off the couch.

Glad you are so kind hearted to give my mom a hand. She'll be pleased to find out that shes the first woman you have contact with in years.

No more ANAL for you. Well at least you won't be on the receiving end anymore.. unless you like that sort of thing... In that case I'll drop off your Dad's double ended dildo.

NO LUBE FOR YOU.

Explain how I wouldn't have to pay if it was on private property???

I was mistaken. Your momma's carjack doubles as a speculum.

From your personal experience thats what you and your dad must use on each other. Like I said earlier... yay for no lube.
