Awesome!! I love it there! I went through your additional pics. Those strange sculptures by the river are the babies they have crawling up the TV tower. They're faceless.
Wow!
I just found a long lost disk from 2002!
It includes the pretzel pic! I thought this was gone forever!
Also I found a bunch of great pics pre-digital era that I just gotta scan and put here. Haha!

^^ I hope you enjoyed your time here in AmsterdamIt's a fun yet chill city to live in.
Did you go into the Checkpoint Charlie Museum? When I was there in 2001, it was one of the most moving and powerful experiences of my whole trip. I will go back when I go back to Berlin in November for the 20th anniversary celebrations.
where are you right now? We're heading to Prague tomorrow, if you're still there we should try and meet up.
I didn't check out the museum, we've spent so much time walking around as there is so much to see. Given that it's our first time here we've been in awe at all the history and architecture so we haven't done much in way of museums here.
and as always I enjoyed my time in the Dam, it's one of the top 5 cities in the world to live in IMO
I'm back home in Amsterdam nowEnjoy Prague - it's beautiful
I hear ya on the overwhelming mass of things to do, especially in a city like Berlin. I'm very very lucky to be able to live over here now so quick trips to cities always have the potential for a second or third visit. Obviously the same doesn't apply to flying from Toronto.
How are you getting around? Eurail passes? Flying?
Next time you're in Amsterdam, drop me a line and we can go out for pints
we've had a sort of steve martin trip
planes, trains and buses
the train was by far the worst having 6 in a cabin is not recommended, then an 8 hour wait for our apartment which was kind of killer but we're all in good spirits and looking forward to the absynthe part of our trip.
I'll be sure to drop a line next time we're around, PM me with some suggestions for prague as I'm sure it'll be alot like Berlin in the sense that we will be doing alot of sightseeing
Saw Alva Noto and Byetone last night at Museum London (art museum).

Nice. Did you get in any sailing?
All you need to know about Prague is the beer gardens in the summer. Best views of the city away from the zillions of tourists with cheap beer. Doesn't get much better. Too bad the weather isn't fantastic right now.
we're here now and tonight is the night, last night we partied @ roxy with the youngin's
Tonight is beer garden (warmup)
Absynthe (aftermath)
Noodle has just arrived (female version of me, frank the tank) so tonight will get very messy as the East coasters show people how to drink.
So far i've scared the Polaks and the Germans straight
the quote of prague "would you like to go to the titty bar?"
Which garden are you hitting? I recommend either the one at Letna (with a great walk from the castle), or at Vysehrad (a bit out of the way, but the Vysehrad area is awesome).
I've still never gotten right drunk off of absynthe, but even here the quantity of hallucinogen isn't great enough to have any huge effects. But it's a good way to get hammered fast.
