Hey ya'll.

Just looking for suggestions - vocal/disco filterish stuff (although not limited to that). Sorta Roy Davis Jr. Galactic Funk/Bittersweet style stuff (Abstract Truth, Kings of Tommorrow, etc).

:)

here's a few off the top of my head;

Housemusic - eddie amador
Psychic bounty Killaz - sneak/van heldon
sing it back - Moloko
To be in love - Masters @ Work

that was a very good time for the loopy and soulful stuff.......;)

It's hard to know what kind of house you're looking for but here are a few that never left my box that year.

Ian Pooley - What's your number
meccaheads - Night Skool
Funky Souls - Feel Alright Babe

on and on and on and on...

wasn't this the height of the early naked music releases like Music and Wine, Sweet Love, Breakin' it down, etc.

moodyman - shades of jae
lenny fontana - spread love
Blaze - Funky People

maybe not anthems but very popular tracks.

tribe cannabis goldsmith - gold cannabis accessories

oh what an era, sneak comin' to town, industry, actual 'house' on muchmusic and 108. people can say what they want about loopy, filtered, disco house, but it definetily made a huge impact on me. this is the time that my tastes in music became more soulful and positive, i learned to shake my ass instead of stomp my feet, and finally went 'all in' and bought decks. (i will never forget sneak and dc on four tables at buzz) anyway, some biggn's that others forgot:
'woman beat their men' - cevin fisher dub
'you can't hide from your bud' - dj sneak
'burnin' for your yearnin' - paul johnson
'life is changing' - cricco castelli
'u don't know me' & 'flowers' - armand van heldon
i remember hearing these tracks at industry months before they would be released - we were so spoiled.

david morales - needin u
david morales - higher
barbara tucker - stop playing with my mind
daddys favourite - i feel good things

& i'm sure theres so much more...

Perhaps you don't like it but to characterize it as the worst house song ever is utter nonsense. I can still remember the first time I heard it played at Industry...wow!
