20Q.net is an experiment in artificial intelligence. The program is very simple but its behavior is complex. Everything that it knows and all questions that it asks were entered by people playing this game. 20Q.net is a learning system; the more it is played, the smarter it gets. Think of an object and the A.I. will try to figure-out what you are thinking by asking simple questions. The object you think of should be something that most people would know about, but, never a specific person, place or thing.

It's actually surprisingly good at guessing. It's gotten about 4 out of 5 correct so far for me.

I was impressed with the results when I tried it before. I used it (or at least a similar site) about a year ago.

as long as you don't think of something too out of the ordinary it will usually figure out what you were thinking of.

But I like to try and fool it. Nothing excites me more than being able to trick a computer into looking like an idiot. I bet it gets real embarassed when it loses.

Of course not to surprising since this probably gets most of it's attention drawn to it from message boards.

I have a friend who has this on their celly. It will guess tv characters. Even the most obscure ones.
